Using the Memo Pad
The Memo Pad allows you to take notes while reading the class material. Not all classes allow you to use the Memo Pad or view it during the test. The availability of the Memo Pad is decided upon by the class developer or instructor.
- In the Course Tools menu, select Memo Pad to open the Memo Pad in a separate window.
- To close the memo pad, click the Close Window button. Your notes will be saved and will be available at any time.
Adding Memos
Complete the following steps to add a note to the Memo Pad:
- Click the Add New Note button at the bottom of the page to see the controls to add a new note.
- Select the page of the class that the memo refers to from the Page pull-down list. The page defaults to the page you are currently viewing in the class.
- Type a title for the memo in the Title text box. The title defaults to the page you are currently viewing in the class.
- Type your notes in the Note text box. The Note text box is limited to 1000 characters.
- Click the Save This Note button.
Viewing and Editing Memos
The memo list shows memos ordered by when they were added.
- Click on a memo title to edit or delete that memo.
- When you're done editing a memo, click Update Note to return to the memo list.
Note: To undo any changes you made to the memo, click the Reset button.
