Viewing the Class Table of Contents

Viewing the Class Table of Contents

Overview

After you have registered for a class you can access the content of the course and begin learning. When you first access a class, Course Insite® will display either the Table of Contents for that class or the first page of content, as set by the class author. See Viewing Class Pages for how to navigate through the class from a page.

The Table of Contents for a class shows all of its content and organization. Course Insite® web-based classes are organized into modules, submodules and pages. Pages contain the actual class content. Modules and submodules group the content. Modules are numbered (1,2,...), submodules are lettered (A,B,...), and pages are numbered (1,2,...). The structure is very similar to an outline, with each page title being a link to that page's contents and a number of symbols or buttons indicating the user's status in the class.
